If you are wondering how to find and join Pinterest group boards you are in the right place. Welcome, I’m Lynne and I’ll tell you all I know about Pinterest group boards, how to find them and why they are good to join.
Pinterest is becoming one of the most used search engines on the internet. Yes, that’s right, a search engine. Pinterest is as much a search engine as it is a social media site. It relies on keywords to show people content that they are searching for.
The success of your pins will be determined by how many people find them, re-pin them and share them. This is why group boards are important. But you need to to choose the right group boards, because if you don’t they can do you more harm than good.

I also need to point out that this blog contains some affiliate links which means that if you click on them and then go on to make a purchase, I will receive a small commission at no cost to you. This is one of the ways that I monetise my blog and I will be showing you how to do this in a later lesson.
Okay, let’s get going with lesson 5
If you have ever wondered what is affiliate marketing then you are in the right place because hopefully I’m going to explain it to you in simple terms.
Affiliate marketing simply means that you sell other people’s products or services and get paid a commission for every sale that you make.
Are you itching to start a blog but don’t know where to begin?
That’s okay, we have all been there. We all had to start somewhere and it’s a bit daunting isn’t it?
This blog is all about helping those over a certain age, to overcome the obstacles associated with technology so that you can share in the fun of blogging and help others along the way too.
I’ll bet you have been reading blogs for years. You have been following bloggers who travel, or those who cook, or those who are bringing up their families.
I’ll bet you have even come across one or two that are by older people. People like you, and me, who have something to say and want to share it with the world.
I hope so. I like to think that we haven’t got to our age and have nothing to say or share with others.
Surely our experiences are worth something? Well I choose to believe so and that is why, about 2 years ago, I decided to start blogging.
I helped people to start new online businesses, and I still do. I shared the benefit of my experiences and offered them tips and hints to make the process much smoother and get them making money quicker.
My most favorite part was writing the blog posts. I loved sharing what I had learned and the tools that I had discovered that would help others achieve their goals quicker, and save them money too.
It was because of this that I decided to make blogging my full time Job. And that is what I now do. I blog for a living. WOW!!! I still can’t quite believe it. It’s the best thing I have ever done, for me and my family.
But enough about me, you can go and find out more about me if you want to by reading the blurb on the right (if you’re on a desktop or at the bottom of this page if you are on a mobile). This is about you. How do you get started blogging?
To make it as simple as possible, I have created “The Ultimate Starter Kit for Bloggers” catchy title eh?
You can get your copy here:
It gives step by step instructions on exactly how to get your blog started, from buying your domain name and hosting service, right through to creating and publishing your first post.
I will be around to answer any questions you might have or help you with anything you get stuck with, you can contact me here.
Good luck and have massive amounts of fun.
Blogging can be really difficult, especially if you are trying to make money from your blog.
Many bloggers and online influencers skip over affiliate marketing. They either think it’s too hard, that it’s a waste of time, that they will turn followers away, or that their followers just won’t be interested.
However, if you’re not earning money through affiliate marketing, then you are leaving money on the table.
Please don’t listen to your friends for blogging advice and here’s why. Have you ever had your friends telling you that you should maybe give up, or that you probably won’t make it as a blogger because it’s really hard to make money online, or any other advice that is downright negative?
Welcome to the club. It’s difficult isn’t it to know what to do. You don’t want to offend your friends by asking them to shut up, but you don’t want to listen to them either because they haven’t a clue what they’re talking about when it comes to what you do.
I was in exactly that situation. My family and friends didn’t really have the first idea what a blog was or what you could potentially achieve with one. And yet they felt they were adequately qualified to give me advice on mine.
The sad part is though that I had started to listen to them and started to think that they might be right. But in my heart I knew that they were wrong.
It was because of this that I looked around for someone who actually knew what they were talking about to help me. Relying on my friends and family for advice had been the wrong thing to do. After all, what did they know? (with the greatest of respect).
