Hello and welcome back to lesson 3 for new bloggers. It’s nice to have you back and I hope you are ready to start getting serious about your blog now that you have already done so much of the hard work.
As usual, I remind you that this blog contains affiliate links which means that if you click on any of them and then go on to make a purchase i will get paid a small commission at no cost to you. This is one way that I monetise my blog and I will be showing you how to do this in future lessons 🙂
Welcome back! I see you have not been put off by lesson 1 then? That’s good. A lot of people stumble a the first hurdle because they realise that blogging is going to take some work.
If you missed lesson 1 you can catch up by clicking here.
Well good for you. I’m glad you’ve decided to come back for another dollop and I promise it’s going to get a bit more exciting from now on.
In this series of lessons for new bloggers I am going to teach you what to do, when to do it and where to do it.
I am going to show you the real-life struggles that you will face and the sheer enjoyment you can get out of blogging.
I am going to show you how you can make a living from your blog – if you work hard and do all the necessary things to make it happen.
Okay, so you all know by now that I’m no spring chicken. I am a baby boomer (over 50) and so technology has sometimes been hard for me to grapple with.
I didn’t know what a blogger was until just a few years ago, and I had no idea that people spent their days videoing themselves to show the world how they lived their lives. Vlogging it seems is the new blogging 🙂
If you have ever wondered what is affiliate marketing then you are in the right place because hopefully I’m going to explain it to you in simple terms.
Affiliate marketing simply means that you sell other people’s products or services and get paid a commission for every sale that you make.
As a new blogger there are loads of things you need to remember to do. You have to become, a marketer, a writer, a graphic designer, a website designer etc. etc. and so it’s no wonder that you will forget things.
This post is aimed at helping new bloggers to get their posts off to a flying start by making sure you’re not falling foul of these 5 common mistakes.
I’m over 50 and blogging. I love it! I absolutely love it. I get to talk about things that I enjoy with people who want to learn about them. I feel that I make a difference, even if it’s just to one person a day.
Note –This post includes affiliate links which means that if you make a purchase through these links on this post I’ll earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It helps me support the running of this website and continue to publish helpful content. I use the people that I recommend for my own business, which is why I’m happily an affiliate! Thank you all for your support!
That is really what blogging is about. It is the coming together of experience and inexperience in a nurturing and non-judgmental way. I think it brings the best out in people.
