“Success is simple. Do what’s right, the right way, at the right time” Arnold H Glasow
This is a bit of a lengthy post so you might want to go and grab yourself a cuppa. It’s worth it though, so make sure you come back…
Okay, so you thought you’d become a blogger. You’ve done loads of research, read lots of different blogs from lots of different bloggers and learnt one lesson from all of them – you can turn your blog into a business and make money from it.
You’d be mad not to then right?
Please don’t listen to your friends for blogging advice and here’s why. Have you ever had your friends telling you that you should maybe give up, or that you probably won’t make it as a blogger because it’s really hard to make money online, or any other advice that is downright negative?
Welcome to the club. It’s difficult isn’t it to know what to do. You don’t want to offend your friends by asking them to shut up, but you don’t want to listen to them either because they haven’t a clue what they’re talking about when it comes to what you do.
I was in exactly that situation. My family and friends didn’t really have the first idea what a blog was or what you could potentially achieve with one. And yet they felt they were adequately qualified to give me advice on mine.
The sad part is though that I had started to listen to them and started to think that they might be right. But in my heart I knew that they were wrong.
It was because of this that I looked around for someone who actually knew what they were talking about to help me. Relying on my friends and family for advice had been the wrong thing to do. After all, what did they know? (with the greatest of respect).
Have you ever wondered why most new bloggers fail?
What I’m going to talk about in this post will probably make you feel a little uncomfortable, and maybe a little annoyed, as it will definitely make creating a successful blog a longer process for you. But I guarantee that if you take the advice within it, you will have a successful blog that is both attracting new viewers AND making money for you much faster!
Okay, let’s explore some of the reasons why most brilliant new bloggers fail.
Can you relate to any of this?…
If you are new to blogging or social media and need content that is going to capture your audience then you will definitely want to check this out. I have curated a list of 12 tools that will transform your content over night. These 12 great tools are specifically chosen because they are easy to use, and in most cases, they are free too. They will help you with things like:
Finding free high definition images
Creating unique images and captions for your social media
Creating videos straight from your blot post – I kid you not
Creating an e-book from scratch using content you have already written in 5 minutes – yep honestly
Creating short video clips for tutoring or coaching your clients
and loads more besides.
I’m all about finding excellent resources that are value for money and easy to use that I can pass on to my clients and that is why I am publishing this “Thinkific” review for my lovely readers.
Thinkific is an online course creation platform, and I have been using it now for about 6 months to create my own courses since being introduced to it and using it myself as a student while taking someone else’s course.
I love it! it is so easy to use and creating online courses has never been easier, or cheaper.
Update: They have now created a Step-by-step guide to show you exactly how to get started and that’s free too. Grab your copy here
Are you trying to figure out how to get more leads from your blog or business without having to hustle or spend every waking minute on social media sites. I’m here to tell you how… Sound good? Read on…
Are you a new business owner who is frustrated and finding it harder than you thought to attract customers to your website or business? That’s okay, you are not doing anything wrong, you are probably just not doing things in the right way.
Just like in the real world, the online world works on systems and processes. Unfortunately many people people think that just because they are working online that they can just miss out the process and get straight to the results. Well I’m sorry to be the one that has to break it to you – that’s just not possible.
How a baby boomer gets thousands of viewers to her blog is no real mystery and the best thing is you don’t have to have any special skills or pay any money. This is all stuff that you can do right now to improve your viewing figures.
Let’s face it, it’s pretty soul destroying to sit for hours writing something that you KNOW is going to be of value to someone out there. You do the research, find the images, sort the keywords and remember your tags but you still don’t seem to get as many viewers as others bloggers claim to be getting.
Are you starting your business later in life? I know how you feel. I did too. I’m Lynne and I’m 53 as I write this post. I started my business about 5 years ago so I was about 47. I remember how lost I felt as I looked around all the social media sites and the website tools. I didn’t know where to start or what to do first, second or next.
To be honest with you, I stalled for a long time. I hadn’t really used Facebook, only for checking on the kids, and I had no idea about Instagram and I didn’t think I was posh enough for LinkeIn and what on earth was Pinterest?
