This blogging for beginners post is designed to do just that – help beginner bloggers to start a blog. I have written it in plain and simple English so you won’t be put off by the technical mumbo-jumbo that seems to be rife in the world of blogging right now.
If, like me, you are coming to blogging later in life, I can assure you that once you get up and running it will be the best thing you ever did.
I get to talk to people just like me (and you) every day which is lovely. I also get to share all the stuff I learn with people who are trying to figure things out – like I was trying to do just a short time ago. I love it when I can help someone overcome a hurdle or difficulty, it makes my day worthwhile.

If you are wondering how to find and join Pinterest group boards you are in the right place. Welcome, I’m Lynne and I’ll tell you all I know about Pinterest group boards, how to find them and why they are good to join.
Pinterest is becoming one of the most used search engines on the internet. Yes, that’s right, a search engine. Pinterest is as much a search engine as it is a social media site. It relies on keywords to show people content that they are searching for.
The success of your pins will be determined by how many people find them, re-pin them and share them. This is why group boards are important. But you need to to choose the right group boards, because if you don’t they can do you more harm than good.

Is manifestation myth or miracle? This was something I wanted to find out for myself a while ago now, but it has been at the forefront of my mentoring workshops this month and I thought I would share my findings with my blogging friends as well as my clients.
Manifestation is talked about everywhere right now. It is really big in parts of the USA, and the UK, as usual, is taking notice of what is going on across the pond. But what exactly is going on?
Well, there are a lot of people who are promoting the idea that you can manifest whatever you want in your life simply by having the right attitude and asking the universe for it.
mmmm, sounds a little fishy doesn’t it? iI mean, if it were that simple everyone would have everything they could ever want wouldn’t they?
Are you wondering what the must have course for beginner bloggers would include?
It would pretty much include everything a new blogger needs to know. It would show you how to grow your visitors, how to create amazing content that gets clicked and shared, how to make sure you are blogging legally and much much more besides.
I’m here to share one such course with you. I’ve taken it myself so I can vouch for the difference it has made to my blog and online business.
It can even help you to make money from your blog. Yes that’s right, you can make money from a blog, even while you sleep. Why would you want to miss out on that opportunity?
Do you celebrate Halloween?
I know it’s a big thing in the USA and to a lesser extent we in the UK celebrate it too, but what is Halloween and where did it come from? I’ve been doing a bit of research to find out what it’s all about.
Halloween is one of the oldest celebrations in the world and is thought to have evolved from a pre-Christian festival called Samhain which was celebrated over 2,000 years ago. Samhain was celebrated by the Celts (people who lived in what is now the UK, Ireland and northern France) on 31st October each year. They believed that the dead returned to earth on this day.
This post is going to show you that sometimes, from chaos you can get clarity. Real clarity. Something that smacks you in the face and makes you sit up and take notice.
I think I always knew this, but recently things have happened to demonstrate just how impactful this can be.
I’m having a new kitchen fitted at the moment and I totally underestimated how much chaos it was going to bring to my home and my life.
I have been without a kitchen sink and dishwasher for over 2 weeks now which means I have had to resort to washing up in the bath. I know, what a hardship right. Yes I get it but kneeling on the hard tiled floor trying to wash my dishes in the tub is no fun I can tell you.
Oh, and as well as no sink, the fridge has had to be moved to the garden-room. We stuck the microwave on top of it so that, in essence, is my kitchen. A fridge with a microwave on top and a little table to the side of it with some cutlery on it.
Are you trying to find the cheapest hosting service for your blog? There are so many to choose from aren’t there? How do you know which one to go with?
I always say that recommendations are the best way to make up your mind. I like to ask people what they have used and what they feel is the best value for money.
As I’ve been running blogs now for a few years, and have also helped hundreds of new business owners and bloggers to get their hosting sorted, I’ve learnt a thing or two about what makes a good host and what doesn’t and I’m going to share that knowledge with you here.
Are you wondering how to avoid being added to email lists? It’s a nuisance isn’t it? We click on something online and the next thing we know is we are being bombarded with emails from someone we don’t know.
To be honest, most of us end up on email lists because we have requested something online – a freebie or a trial offer or a discount for something.
We wanted the freebie, or the trial but we didn’t want the endless emails that followed it. Why do we get these and how can we stop them?
Are your goals letting you down? You might think that is a strange thing to ask. After all, goals are meant to help you achieve things, so how could they be letting you down?
During my 4 years studying for my psychology degree I learnt a thing or two about goal setting, both in terms of how they work psychologically and how they help you achieve the things you set your heart on.
But goals that are not properly defined, lack emotion or imagination or that have no specific end date are most definitely going to let you down and here’s why…
